Ants,Ants, and more Ants

Greetings all!!

After a crazy week, it is finally over.  This week we started Guided Reading and centers.  It was fun to watch the students get excited about creating "handicraft" by Native Americans, and listening and discussing books with my guided groups.  On Tuesday we had to move into the building because the invasion of the ants was too much for this freaked out teacher.  I think the rain last week caused all the little friends that live under our cottage to seek dry land.  During our stay inside the great men of the Pest Control department came out and took care of our little invaders.  THANK YOU!!!!

There is one person that I would like to introduce, it is Mrs. Rainey.  She is a student teacher that will be with us until October 17th.  She is a student at Texas Women's University.  She is taking over more of the teaching in class with my guidance, and she is doing great.

Well as I get ready for next week you can be watching for the students to be singing the School House Rock song, "Ride of Paul Revere!!"  We will be focusing on Making Connections to stories. (Text to Self, Text to Text, and Text to World)  As always let me know if you have any questions.
