Okay earlier this week I posted about the states and capital situation. Because we are doing a google account switch over, something must have happened to it. So here is the scoop:
Our States and Capital Test will be this Friday. The students will be given a list of states, they will have to write the name of the capital next to the state. Spelling will not be counted off, as long as I can figure out the name.
The next Friday, April 7th, we will be taking a state identification test. They will have fifty small continental States. Each question will have a darken state. The student will have to identify which state is darkened.
We have been working daily in centers on all of these concepts. The students seem to be excited. It helps to break up the monotony of TAKS reading practice.
Don't worry during guided reading we have been working on TAKS reading strategies.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have a question.
Welcome to Mrs. Hinkson's Blog. This is a great place to find out what we will be doing in class and where to ask questions. If you are a student in my class, please do not use your name or any identifying information. Use the first letter of your homeroom teachers name and your class number, eg. G1, G2.
